Last week, we had the opportunity for two of our volunteers to present a Health Talk for the residents of Riverside Halfway House. It was a resounding success with the majority or residents attending and participating.
The presentation covered three main topics:
- Heimlich Maneuver: What to do when somebody is choking to help them effectively.
- Skin cancer: How to identify potentially serious skin lesions or moles, and when you should consult a healthcare provider.
- Stroke: How to identify a potential stroke and what steps can you take to help.
We are so proud of our volunteers who took the initiative to put together a wonderful presentation that was educational and informative for the residents.
